Within State College and its environs

CATA runs buses both within campus, and throughout State College and the surrounding area. Timetables and maps can be found on the website, and on the buses. The downtown office of CATA (corner of Beaver Ave and Allen St) can provide information, maps, and sells tokens for single trips (worth $1.25 each).

Postdocs are eligible to purchase a "Ride for five" bus pass for only $5 a month (compared to $49 regular price) which allows unlimited use of the buses. You can sign up and receive one from the Transportation office in the Eisenhower parking garage.

Out of State College

Options include Greyhound, Chinese buses, Big Apple Express, AMTRAK trains from Lewistown (1/2 hour).
