Entertainment - Life Outside The Lab

For a small-ish town, State College had a lot of entertainment options, from the professional production (the Tony-award-winning Movin' Out was just here) to the student production (many things going on in the theater and music departments).

The Nittany Valley Sympony plays on campus at Eisenhower Auditorium. Their individual and season ticket prices are reasonable and they are very good. Check out: http://www.nvs.org/

The State Theatre in Downtown State College has a wide variety of performancs, dance, music, independent films, and more, in a lovely, little theater. See their offerings: http://www.thestatetheatre.org/

Many, varied events at the Bryce Jordan Center on campus: http://www.eventticketscenter.com/Event.aspx?EventID=3924

And much more - please add things that you have enjoyed!
