Postdoc survey 2008

In early 2008, the Penn State Postdoctoral Society, in conjunction with the Office of Postdoctoral Affairs disseminated a survey to assess the needs of Postdoctoral Scholars at the Pennsylvania State University, University Park. This survey aimed to capture such information as general and work demographics, and identify issues related to career development, work environment and lifestyle. The results of the survey are summarized in the following document. In accordance with its mission of enriching and enhancing the postdoctoral experience of Postdoctoral Scholars at PSU, the Penn State Postdoctoral Society & Office of Postdoctoral Affairs are working to address several issues identified in this document. It is intended that the survey be repeated annually, thereby providing a means to review the progress of these organizations, and most importantly, to provide a reliable avenue for Postdoctoral Scholars to voice their concerns during their time at PSU.
