Time management / organization / getting things done

Here are some useful resources:

  • Fisher files - this is a podcast (audio files) by a professor at MIT. They discuss how to get yourself organized along the lines of the GTD (getting things done) philosophy. What is unique about this site is that it puts it into an academic perspective, and he discusses how he uses these ideas as a professor. All the audio files (there are two series of podcasts) can be downloaded form the site.
  • Academic productivity blog - has some interesting postings about applying different productivity philosophies to academic life.
  • PhD comics - Piled higher and deeper. Admittedly this is more a tool for wasting rather than managing time, but these comics are brilliant and easy to identify with.
